It’s 4am I’m fast asleep – waiting for the clock to beep - and wake me for another day – see just what the world will say. My ex is out she’s on the town – with her friends from all around - celebrating tall and proud – she calls me, she’s pissed and loud.

She loves me, she hates me, she laughs then berates me. I’m still missing the romance, the thought of our last dance. It warms me, it chills me, it scares me and thrills me. I’m still coming to terms with the fact that I’m now living on my own.

God damn this mobile phone - it just wakes me to the unknown.

She said: I’m just an also ran with beat up feelings, a lousy lover never found her ceiling, I had my chances and let them all just fall. I ask again can we give it one last go, she takes the piss then says “hell fuck no”, if that’s the case when why the hell did you call?

So I lie in bed wide awake - wondering which path to take - when it hits me right between the eyes – my path’s been chosen by her lies. I’ve only got myself to blame - way too soft and way too lame - now I see it’s only you – listen here, I’m angry too. You played me, you pawned me, then walked on beyond me, and left me just waiting, whilst toying and baiting. With any old taker, you two-timing faker.

I’m still coming to terms with the fact that I’m now living on my own. You know that I still dream of you, because the things you do, always will, make me cry for you. I’ll cry alone, waiting for the time you come on home, just come on home, just come alone.
